As a historic country church St. Wilfrid's seeks to maintain our traditional heritage.

We have a strong choral tradition, as can be seen in our services, and have a strong 4-part robed Choir.  The Choir sing at the 10 a.m. and 6.30 p.m. services and have developed a large repetoir of anthems which add to our worship at all the major festivals of the Church Year.  Choir practice takes place each Wednesday evening at 7.30 p.m.  We are always interested in new members, regardless of age or experience so why not come along?

One of the great sounds of the English countryside for many centuries has been the peal of bells rolling across the fields.  At St. Wilfrid's we have a peal of 6 bells and the team of ringers are called upon to ring at Sunday services, weddings, and even, on the odd occasion, have rung in the New Year at midnight.

Bell ringing has been described as something which takes an hour to learn but a lifetime to master, our Tower Captain is experinced in teaching novices of all ages and will be delighted to hear from anyone interested in learning this fascinating skill.  Bell ringing practice takes place most Tuesday evenings from 7.30 p.m.
